Stanroy Music Center Is Here To Stay

STANROY'S TO STAY: Panicked people are phoning the Stanroy Music Center to ask about the "For Lease" signs strung up on the landmark Santa Rosa store.

General Manager Tim Ellis said he's telling customers and music- lesson teachers and students to stay calm. He said Stanroy's is not going out of business but is in talks with the landlord about the Fourth Street store.

Ellis said it's possible that Stanroy's, which is celebrating its 60th year in Santa Rosa, will give up some of the two-story building. "This is a huge store," he said.

He added, "We're going to stay around. We're just not sure in what form."
